Earth Treasures

August 14, 2017 - August 18, 2017

$212.00

Mon.-Fri. 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

For GIRLS and BOYS. Join us as we explore special “ecofacts” found on earth – and how they were created. This will include tektites from outer space, fossils, crystals, rocks and minerals. You’ll keep all you work with as you go on a fossil hunt, make casts of “future fossils,” and play will volcanic processes to make models of pumice and obsidian. You’ll also create models of sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rock. Every day, you’ll be able to go home with Earth Treasures, and with the understanding of how each was created.

This is the ESSENCE of hands-on science. Your teacher is Mr. Baker, life-long scientist and active science educator. He teaches the way he loved to learn as a kid: by going outside and actually digging into the subject.

  • Meet like-minded science kids home-schools, private schools, and public schools.
  • We all work together, every child participates.
  • All the science is genuine, authentic, hands-on, and often messy.
  • Wear clothes you’re willing to throw away.
  • Keep what you make, and make a lot!
  • Nutritious snacks are always served.
